Joe Belmont Guitar Lessons

Joe Belmont is an amazing teacher and musician! We played gigs together for years, and now my son studies guitar with him. He knows all styles from Jazz to Classic Rock, has a great sense of humor, and his lessons are fun and engaging. If you are looking for a guitar teacher, I highly recommend Joe.

I have been working with Joe for a couple of years pretty steady. He has also been instructing my now 11 year old for about a year. I have learned more from Joe in the past two years than all my instructors combined in the past. Joe goes beyond simple rote knowledge of playing a song and teaches how music works and how the guitar works within a musical framework. He has not only helped me become a better guitar player, but a better all around musician. And Joe makes the learning as fun as it can be. I have never enjoyed guitar practice more prior to working with Joe. Joe has also excelled at working with my son in the same regard. He has worked with him to understand music by sound. Now when my son learns a song on guitar he can walk over to the keyboard and within a short time play the song back by ear and from memory on keyboard. I highly recommend working with Joe if you are looking to go beyond simple rote strumming and riffs into a deeper understanding of how music works.

I've been taking guitar lessons with Joe for only a couple months, and never thought that I could come this far in such a short amount of time. Joe is a fantastic guitar player and an even more gifted teacher, I cannot recommend him enough!

I've been taking guitar lessons from Joe for about 6 months. He's a fantastic teacher and is knowledgeable about all kinds of music. I started lessons to study Chicago blues and improved a lot as a player over the last several months. Highly recommended!
