He took a cd player from my house and left a very big mess. When I asked him to come back and clean up he just hung up the phone. I wish I could show the pictures of the mess he left for me to clean up. Shame on you!

I would recommend James on any job you would hire him for. He came into my home where a previous contractor damaged and almost ruined my terrazzo floors and brought them back to life! My floors were poored in 1956 and have been through their share of traffic and neglect. James made them look beautiful again. He is a fair and honest man. I will be hiring his company again! Good job sir! thank you!

JLC Terrazzo and Marble was great!!!! He came out quickly to give an estimate and even did a sample of what it the terrazzo floor would look like after restored. Scheduling was easy and price was great! Completed the floor in the amount of time he expected. Even though it was a messy process, he did an excellent job on cleaning up. My terrazzo floors look great in my house and the shine is beautiful!!!!

Two years ago we bought our current house and some months ago we discovered that pinhole leaks in our pipes had damaged our bathroom tiles and bedroom carpet. I contacted two local companies to get estimates on restoring the terrazzo flooring in these rooms. The bedroom floor was stained from carpet padding, surrounded by rusty carpet nails and had two 8 ft. cracks. The bathroom floor had been tiled over decades ago. The first company looked at just the bedroom and told me it would be very difficult to fix any of the flaws properly. They also wanted a minimum of $600 even though the footage they'd be working on was smaller. I guess this is standard practice.I ended up hiring James Cabral, owner of JLC Terrazzo and Marble. James was optimistic about his ability to make our floors beautiful again and he absolutely came through for us. He fixed the bedroom floor so that all the stains and cracks disappeared. He removed a stained marble slab next to the bedroom patio door and fixed the floor underneath so you would never know the slab had been there. The bedroom floor is beautiful now and he only charged me for the square footage he worked on. He also cleaned up the marble slab so we could use it elsewhere in the house.James also hit it out of the park with the bathroom. I never would have thought that the terrazzo underneath the wrecked tile mess in there could be restored, but he did it and at a very reasonable price too. There are a few spots around the toilets that did not come out so well but I covered up the spots with rugs and James tells me that further applications with 35% hydrogen peroxide will improve the appearance of the spots. Some companies just do more or less what they say they are going to do. Some companies are more proactive. James was very proactive and he was also a pleasure to deal with. The only thing I suggest is that when he's done, make sure he takes all his stuff with him, because he's a bit forgetful that way. For sure, don't just throw his stuff away; just call him and he'll come get it.I'm not sure why the previous owners of our house covered up most of the terrazzo with carpet and tile but it may be because terrazzo used to be hard to keep clean. However, the current diamond grinding process restores terrazzo to a hard granite-like surface that is easy to clean.
