San Francisco is really hot for the kind of tourism it gets but the city said that they did not enjoy the kind of sales that they have received every year. Some of the retailers in the city claim that the sales figures for the end of the year were not as great as before. Bloomingdales has been working on how they can recover their sales and they have finally found a way to do it. Bloomingdales is now focusing on the Chinese New Year that will allow them to improve their retail sales in the year 2013.

The company said that the year of the snake is definitely going to bring them lot of good luck and therefore they are coming up with new products that will help them to improve their performance in the year 2013. The company has also come up with various pop up stores that would demonstrate some of the new products that they have in the lineup. Bloomingdales claim that Chinese shoppers are really focused about the kind of celebration they would have and therefore they are coming up with products that would make sense. Michael Gould CEO and Chairman of Bloomingdales claim that Chinese culture is all about celebration and therefore they are bringing up products that consumers can associate with and that should work for the company.
