Found in what is called the ‘Inland Empire’ of Southern California, Riverside is the county seat for Riverside County. The city is where California’s citrus industry began. Its name is derived from the fact that it is close to the Santa Ana River, which helped in the early irrigation of citrus crops.

Riverside has approximately 311,575 residents and is growing rapidly, with estimated population growth to over 320,000 by 2010. One of its outstanding features is the almost perfect weather that the region enjoys all year long. It never gets opressively hot in summer nor does it become too cold in winter. January is the coldest month while August is the hottest. The rest of the year, it is ideal.
