We reported last week that gas were on the decline in southern California and Los Angeles. However, it looks like we're going to have to take that good news away. Gas prices are on the rise once again all across the region.

After six weeks of reduced prices, they're on the incline once again, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California. The average cost of gas in the area is now $4.196 a gallon. This is two-tenths of a cent more than last week, marking the first increase in over a month.
The prices are still lower than this time last month, but it may indicate an upward trend as summer approaches. This isn't good news for those with travel plans, especially since gas is still over $4 a gallon in most places in So Cal. Analysts ascribe the raised prices to a shortage of gas in California inventories, though that may just be speculation.
