image Bought a lab from them and didnt get the dog that was promised at all. Enrolled dog in the obedience training and the dog stayed for 47 days at a cost of about $1500 or more. After 47 days of training Woodys son demonstrated their results. He had to use a shock collar on the dog and shock the dog for a simple command to stay. I could have trained that command in 2 days. He also jerked the collar so hard when the puppy was just beneath him that the dog was flipped upside down!! I will never forget the day I picked up that dog. I do believe this dog was never trained well and was abused while there.
I have had nothing but labs for 30 years but I will NEVER return there for anything unless it is with an animal rights organization.

image I have known Woody and Judy for over 20 years. There are no finer folks. They have my total trust with any dog sent to Twin Lakes for training. The dogs that go to Twin Lakes are worked in drills. Don't expect your dog to come home fat. Working dogs need to be in top physical condition. The most powerful thing about Woody is that his dog work to their potential because they love and respect him not out of fear. I have owner several labs from Twin Lakes Kennel. My labs all have been loving companions who lived to make me the master happy. They all had individual personalities and unbelievable drive.
Woody's way (training program) is second to none. Judi's puppies are the greatest out there.

image Great, clean well maintained facility. Thurmans (trainers/breeders) are experts in their field and will go the extra mile to help you and your dog.

image Bought a puppy some time ago and although we love the puppy like no other she was not the puppy we chose and put a deposit on. After driving 16 hours with young children and staying at a local hotel for the night looking forward to taking our puppy we chose home we arrived the next morning and Woody Thurmans son greeted us with another puppy which was not the puppy of our choice... Right away I knew this was a different puppy. When I said this was not the puppy we chose he simply said that this was now going to be our puppy. Stating the puppy we chose was hurt the day before and will now not be sold. I asked to see the puppy anyways and looking shocked he said the puppy could not be seen. I understand accidents happen but no call the day or night before pick up day and now not letting me even see the so said hurt puppy... seems fishy to me. At this point after all the expense and driving so far with children I couldn't go home empty handed so we decided to take the puppy home anyways even though it was not our choice. Very unprofessional and to be honest we believe we were lied to about the puppy of our choice...... shame on you
