The industry is largely driven by commercial real estate and the economy. The industry consists of maintenance, landscaping installation, shrub removal, installation of irrigation systems, and snow removal services in the winter. Landscaping in Las Vegas is a large business with all of the hotels and resorts spending good amounts of money to maintain their properties. Landscaping in San Francisco is also a large market with streets like Lombard. The services are often provided on a weekly basis.

 The technology involved in the industry is fairy simple consisting of your basic lawnmowers, leaf blowers and other pieces of machinery. The industry was booming in the early-late 2000's.
