Jacksonville is teaming up with Google to set up websites for small businesses for free.
Head to
www.floridagetonline.com to get started.
Small businesses all across Florida are getting online through this free program from Google. Sign your business up and you'll receive:
- Free easy-to-build Intuit website
- Free customized domain name
- Free web hosting for one year
- Free online tools and training
For the next year, Jacksonville area small businesses can join the initiative and not only get a website, but they'll also be provided with free tools, resources and training to help them succeed online.
And the Small Business Development Center can actually help business owners get the most bang for their buck out of that new website.
Kevin Monahan with The Small Business Development Center says this program will pay off big.
"People judge the authenticity of the business by the fact of whether they have a website or not," said Monahan. "So whether it's a three page simple website or a multi-page extravaganza, the bottom line is you're on the Internet."
The Small Business Development Center website can be found at
www.sbdc.unf.com or call (904) 620-2429.
