Huntsville is a city located in north Alabama. It is the county seat of Madison county, and has a population of 176,645 as of 2008, making it the fourth largest city in the state. The city is settled along the Tennessee River, and has become a major city due to its addition of textile mills, munitions factories as well as NASA and Army buildings.
