The city of Fullerton, California is located in one of the most famous counties in the state, Orange County. However, with as large as California is, the amount of people living is quite low with just a little more than 126,000 residents. The city is pretty old though having been founded 122 years ago. Although, interesting enough, the city is named after its founder George H. Fullerton. The city has established its named based off of their agricultural lifestyle, but didn't actually become a city until Fullerton himself had control of the land. The land went through a series of handlers and it first started with the Europeans. They then gave control to the Spanish and then finally Fullerton gained control of the soon to be city. In the 1900's, the city saw its first signs of a turn around. They started drilling, built a theater, an airport, and changed the cities lifestyle from agriculture to producing food. Once they entered into this market, Fullerton, California became the largest and a very successful food producing company. The name of the company that still operates today is known as ConAgra Foods. ConAgra Foods has been in operation for the past 77 years and its accomplishments speak for itself. Even small cities can turn something small into a high functioning city.
