Global market information and analytics company IHS continues their row of acquisition as they go for yet another deal where they buy Arvada based XeDAR which is a geospatial information firm that also has an office in Albuquerque. The Douglas County-Denver based company has announced that the company has made a deal with XeDAR and they have bought the company for $28 million. The company said that XeDAR is a good proposition for the company and that the company currently employs around 143 people.

XeDAR is an expert company that collects high resolution aerial digital pictures which they process and then send it to various government and private companies and agencies depending on their requirements. IHS CEO and Chairman, Jerre Stead said that they have made the right deal with XeDAR because the company has proprietary geographic and land information systems that can combine with the information and analytic tools that IHS have. This means that they can combine the two different services that they provide to come up with a better third service option. Sharing more about the acquisition history of the company the CEO said that they have so far bought 30 companies since 2008 that allows them to have better manpower and information system to excel in the market.
