Although, Denver based DaVita has not been making much profit for the last two business quarters they are still focusing on how they can improve their business internationally. The company said that they are currently focusing on international expansion plans and they are ready to handle the losses that they have made. DaVita’s CEO, Kent Thiry said that although it sounds funny but the initiatives will pay them great rewards later on when they have many kidney dialysis centers across the globe. DaVita said that now they have 15 international kidney dialysis centers and they have their presence in Germany, India, China, Singapore and Saudi Arabia.

In the last few months, DaVita has been making joint venture deals or have been acquiring many local companies that can allow them to expand their services internationally. Since November 2011 they have already acquired four companies. CEO, Kent Thiry said that they will not stop at this because they are looking forward to many other countries where they can expand their kidney dialysis services. Just a few days ago, DaVita bought HealthCare Partners for $4.42 billion that operates in three different states in the North America. Last month they managed to acquire Lehbi Care which is a local kidney care company. The company has also entered a joint venture with 3SBio Inc in China and has bought NephroLife in Bangalore, India. DaVita has also acquired ExtraCorp AG that owns two German dialysis centers.
