Corpus Christi is quite the large area considering it is a little more than 460 square miles.  Due to the large area that it covers, two reservoirs are required to help manage the water flow.  Corpus Christi was added as a city to the state of Texas 157 years ago and during this time has had many positive contributions to the state.  Two of the main contributions that Corpus Christi has brought to Texas is a Navel Air Base and an International Airport.  Although, the most recognizable is the Port of Corpus Christi.  The huge bodies of water that surround the city are quite breathtaking for anyone to see.
