The United States is host to many types of religious organizations. Most of these organizations partner with the community to create food drives and help the less fortunate to better their current situation and condition. Current Trends of Churches
About half of America is affiliated with some religious organization according to a poll issued in 2000. Religious affiliation had declined over the 1990's but has had an increase in followers in the 2000's. The distribution of the increased congregations has not been distributed equally across the different religious affiliations. Membership of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and also the Catholic Church has seen a strong steady rise but in the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the United Methodist Church membership has continually declined.
