Belk Adds More Jobs

Charlotte based retailer Belk Inc has made an announcement that they have decided to add more jobs to the company that will allow them to handle their operations in a better way. The company said that they would like to boost their ecommerce operations and therefore they need more employees that can allow them to improve their sales in the future. Belk said that they are focused on how they can get more online customers that can allow them to get more online sales in the future. The company is looking out for various positions that can boost their ecommerce operations in the future.

Belk said that for the very first time they are going to hire more than 150 employees at the same time and this will be a history in the recruitment process of the company. Adam Orvos Executive Vice President of Human Resources said that they believe that they need more staff for the ecommerce operations and therefore they are hiring it as many as they could. Belk said that with the addition of 150 employees they will have around 1200 corporate employees by the start of the year 2013. The company said that almost four years ago the company had only 600 employees and they have grown quickly in the past few years. Orvos said that majority of the job positions will be for information technology and ecommerce positions.
