December weekend, way too crowded. Cars overflowing parked everywhere on streets. I got there Sunday afternoon, as people starting to clear out. Up front parking easier for me. When you see a big escalator in the main base lodge, you know you've entered a whole new level of expense and people-moving. Overdeveloped over the last 50 years. A big name and big crowds. Families paying a small fortune to ski for a weekend. $25 for lunch hamburger and fries (drink in included? I don't know). Challenging and exciting for some. I'd seek a smaller, cheaper, family friendly place. Cannon Mountain comes to mind as offering challenges and a better situation. Seek alternatives.

Wonderful lodges lots of sitting areas, food service, clean restrooms,live music in main lodge. Great skiing both on slopes and in the trees.... nice day today started with flurries on the way up,and in the afternoon the sun came out and flurries stopped

Summer, at the Peak Lodge food court was phenomenal! We were caught by surprise by the item we ordered on the menu and ended up having to speak with her. She was extremely patient and sweet, and ensured wed reordered something satisfactory!
