Dezavala Family Dental

I found this place when I had no dental insurance and loved it, recommended two other families. It hasnt been the same in awhile and both families I did send here both had really bad experiences with staff (Adam and Victoria) and treatment and no longer come here. One would only talk to a Manuel because of the attitude and misinformation from other staff. I had only one incident with Victoria trying to say I never got the recommended treatment done(which was and she was corrected). I also got braces here and was left a gap (not too noticeable but if Id known how much of a pain it would be later on I would have had it fixed), which the orthodontist said she could fix but Id have to have my braces on even longer then was told by the staff the orthodontist didnt leave a gap at my next cleaning. That was two years or so ago. My sons sealants had to be done again 6 months or so after they were first put on and I was told because he eats candy, he really doesnt and I make it a point to not by them sticky candies or popcorn since their first dentist said not to. I also bring my one year old here and noticed fluoride as part of a treatment charged and this last visit (he is seen every two months)was the first time anyone did more than feel his gums or teeth and he has not once received fluoride. I was told its included in the package they charge the insurance for. We came in today 15 minutes early for treatment and have been waiting in a room for an hour and 15 minutes. Two new patients were both given X-rays, gum checks, cleanings and the dentist saw them before us (their appointments were after ours). We were told for the last two check ups my daughter had two cavities. I forgot to schedule her treatment the first time and Im glad I did because the dentist who is working on her now has said she only had one. Today would have to be the last straw for me. In the few years Ive been coming, I have just accepted the treatment and not said anything but to sit almost an hour and a half after our appointment time while other people got services done and were out the door is ridiculous. I do want to say the ease of making appointments(not the actual appointment)and text to communicate is a plus I really enjoyed. Not all the staff is bad, Ive had really great experiences with almost everyone we have been in contact with. Side note: weve seen four different dentists at that office in the last two months we have gone. Also, I know youll look into my charts and history as a way to defend the business but this is my personal and honest review.

This is my favorite dentist office EVER! The receptionist are so sweet and I love the all female staff. They always send mulitiple appointment reminders which is awesome. And they always make me so comfortable and you truly feel like family here. I literally have never had a bad experience here and I always leave with a smile and laughs. THANK YOU SO MUCH DEZAVALA DENTAL!

I got to say that after being with this dental office for the past 11 to 12 years ever since they sold the practice things have changed quite a bit. My daughter went there in horrible pain wanted to get help and all they could think was how are you going to pay us. After they saw her crying literally in so much pain, she stated that nobody even looked at her mouth. All they did was took an x-ray and say that her tooth was completely cracked. At this point they said they couldnt do anything about it and that she needed to see a sergeant, after several attempts of wanted them to look at the tooth again they said that there was nothing I could do. Then thank God we Found Monarch dentistry they were amazing and their manners were just so caring towards the patient. We finally got an appointment with the surgeon that stated that there was no reason to remove that tooth, and if there was nothing wrong with it as far as it being cracked, the general dentist saw her the week after and stated that there was nothing wrong with her tooth. All it needed was a fill-in and it was probably her feeling that had cracked. The front office for De Zavala was rude condescending and I have to say that the office manager Adam was the most rudest and condescending person we ever came across. So its sad to say that we will never return to this office. Its amazing how they can miss diagnose and charge hundreds of dollars and still believe that we were actually going to go back. The only reason that I gave one star was because I cannot post without doing that.
