this was the best gym ive ever went to. they had great equipment, they were very clean, everything was in good condition and they were open 24 hours. since december everything has been going downhill, bathrooms/gym is not sanitary and the wipes to clean the machines yourself before have now got no top and has paper towel rolls and spray. almost every machine is broken or torn up. they cover the torn parts of the machine with tape. and the hours on weekends are now 5pm? yall need to get some work done in this gym specially how much people are laying for a month

The gym is nice, new, and clean. However, they have poor management when it comes to the spray tan machines. I hate leaving a bad review as I work in customer service/food. However, way too often this location has no spray tan solution and it takes atleast 2 weeks to get the solution in. This has happened multiple times over many months. All my friends that also go to this gym are so used to them not being prepared (having spray tan machine running) that they call in advance. Whoever is in charge of buying products does not know how to accurately forecast usage rates or know how to accurately anticipate stock needed based off seasons. This is unfortunate as many people purchase the highest price membership solely based off the access to extra faculties/services , but they hardly have it available. This in turn forces me to spend more money elsewhere to get a spray tan for important events such as formal, graduation, grad pics, etc. Many of your members are college students who do not have the disposable income to do this.

Revised as of 05/04/2024. We went today with no prior knowledge of them cancelling kids crunch out of the blue. No email, no social media post, no text, no call. Pathetic, that you treat your customers this way especially since weve been paying for TWO premium memberships so our whole family gets to go. I seen a line of members cancelling, best believe we did too. Shame the new owner let this place run down the pipes. Itll only get worse, go elsewhere.

Edit: They took child care away completely and didnt tell anyone!! This place sucks and they lie. They replied to my comment and said were working on improvingthats a lie, theyre just running this place further into the ground and continuing to treat customers poorly. This place needs new management and a new owner. Might as well go back to golds. No I dont want a stupid free T-shirt to change my review! The gym has been going downhill with the new owner. Hes cheap. We pay a lot for memberships and our contracts have certain amenities included, now those are unavailable because the new owner doesnt want to honor agreements. This place is being run into the ground. The only reason we come is for the child care that the owner keeps reducing availability hours on. The spray tans are supposed to be unlimited, yet are always empty Theres no paper towels to clean equipment, this place isnt even sanitary! We all might as well go back to golds if the owner here keeps doing this dumb stuff. Seriously. He sucks!

Tuesday 4/2/24 Hixson Crunch Fitness Owner made the decision to cancel childcare and lay off employees with a 4 day notice. Child care and their employment ends today at 12pm. Upon hearing the news I was quite angry and saddened and asked to speak directly to the decision makers. I was told it was the Owner and his Regional Manager and whomever else is in the ownership group. When I asked for their contact info I was told they didnt want to give it out, but that the regional manager would be in the club this week to meet with people. Of course he did in fact NOT show up. I went online and easily found the owners contact information myself and had it verified. I sent an email to him and told many others to do the same. As members who pay money to be somewhere, I feel we have a right to voice our opinions, ask questions, and are at least owed the respect and decency of having someone speak to us about why this decision was made. Instead of responding to my email, instead of showing up in the club to answer questions, instead of freely giving out contact info to patrons, instead of owning his decision and facing the backlash himself, I had my membership revoked this morning due to all of the trouble Ive caused. My intent in contacting him and encouraging others to do the same was simply this, to perhaps convince ownership to bring child care back and if not, to at least know what his decision did to so many. Where many voices gather things can change. Or so I hoped. I wanted to stick up for the incredible employees that cared so well for our kids, stand up for the parents who joined Crunch for kid care (hasnt even been open a year mind you), and to stand up for the remaining staff that were left to deal with the aftermath of having to answer for this mans decisions. The club will have ever increasing backlash for its poor handling of this and so many other incidents as evident by so many negative reviews. Hixson Crunch is such a beautiful facility and had huge potential. Theyve got some great employees who really care. Equipment and spacing was a dream for any lifter. Its all really quite unfortunate. This type of situation needs to be known.
