Such an amazing experience! We took our sons and Ron/Teresa were awesome! We saw so many awesome things, star clusters/planets/nebulae. They taught us and showed us first inside, then took us outside to the many telescopes of varying strengths to see what we just learned about. One of the best things we've done on a family vacation!

We did a night tour and it was spectacular. Ron and Teresa are very knowledgeable and helped us see so much in the sky. Would definitely recommend!

If you are visiting the Badlands or Black Hills, I cannot recommend enough that you make a trip here (barely 30 minutes from Badlands National Park). This observatory is a treasure. Ron and Teresa gave a spectacular bright moon night tour. They were wonderful hosts, very knowledgeable, patiently answered all questions and were funny to boot. The sheer amount and variety of telescopes were so fun to explore. During our visit, we saw the Andromeda Galaxy, Hercules Globular Cluster, Jupiter, Saturn and three different magnifications of the moon, among other majestic views of celestial bodies. We hope to come back some day on a dark sky night to see more. We are also inspired to look into amateur telescope building and to visit more observatories/dark sky areas. Thank you once again for opening this observatory to the public!

Hi Brianna! Thank you for your review! We certainly enjoy it when guests tell us they have had a good time, but actually taking time to leave a review takes it to a new level! It makes us especially happy that you are inspired to look into amateur telescope making and to visit more observatories. Needless to say, it would be fantastic to have you visit again! Teresa and Ron
