First Tech Federal Credit Union

I recently left Wells Fargo where I was a customer of over 20 years because of poor customer service and sketchy banking practices. I am SO THANKFUL I chose to move my money management to First Tech. I had the pleasure of working with Jamie today at the Addison Avenue location. She was a breath of fresh air, made my experience seamless and resolved everything I set out to do. I highly recommend this branch and Jamie, in particular.

I have banked with First tech for the last 20 years and my ex spouse opened up two different loans in my name. I don't understand how this was possible without my consent or signature. But through the last couple of years I have spoken to many employees and departments trying to figure out how this happened, and requesting proof that they had verified the legitimacy of the signatures on the loans before approving them, but no one has been able to provide that proof. They sent a denial letter only 5 days after communicating that they were opening up an investigation on my case, which showed no proof on any investigation being completed. Throughout my attempts to contact anyone at First Tech, I was hung up on multiple times and given no information on the investigation that was supposedly done. They took no responsibility for the fact that loans were issued in my name without verification and stated that it was a civil matter. I filed a complaint through the Better Business Bureau and the National Credit Union Administration, since I could not get anyone to talk with me, and received a reply with incorrect information of the steps they took to solve these issues and they had falsified information that I had provided to them throughout this process. I have used this bank for so many years and I am so frustrated and disappointed that this is the only way that I may be able to be heard, and hopefully help to change their system so this doesn't happen to someone else in the future.

Jamie M. was beyond helpful and accommodating during my recent visit. I can say with complete confidence that was the BEST banking experience I have ever had! I've been with First Tech my entire adult life and never had anyone articulate and answer everything as well as Jamie. For the first time I feel like I actually have a personal banker that I can trust.
