To whom it may concern; I have worked with RMS for the past few months due to my current job. As a company, our first interactions with RMS were polite and professional, leading us to believe that we were entering into a respectful business relationship. As soon as we accepted a work order (which they were only willing to pay 1/3*d of our normal cost to complete), we were bombarded with daily calls and emails demanding we complete the work order on their time line. At this particular time, we were experiencing a terrifying snow storm that shut down the majority of roads and almost all businesses in our county. RMS was upset that we did not feel comfortable sending our technicians to complete a rooftop job in said conditions and treated me with disrespect and condescension when I tried to explain our reasoning behind that decision. Once we were safely able to send a technician, her experience with the check in and check out process through RMS made the job extremely difficult to complete and she also noted that the representative she spoke with was quite rude and offered very little assistance. We have had consistent trouble receiving payment and are always ultimately told that it was a mistake on our end and our responsibility to fix. I wish I could say this review covered every aspect of my experience with RMS, but this really only scratches the surface and I don't mean that in a good way. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend anyone agree to work with RMS as a contractor as I feel they do not value their contractors' time, energy, or expertise.

I want to give a very clear picture of what can be expected when working with Retail Mechanical Services as a contractor. (I will be keeping this review as vague as possible in order to respect and protect our mutual client's privacy.) At first, they will approach you with a work order, and give the impression they are a professional, honest company. Unfortunately, as soon as you accept a work order, you begin to see the truth. Both our offices administrative assistant, and myself the office manager, were harassed with daily calls about completing work orders to their unreasonable standards and timelines. RMS showed no regard or concern for the safety of our technicians when demanding us to perform work orders on slippery roofs in -30 degree snow storms that were so horrendous 90% of the roads in the county were closed. They refuse to pay what your time is actually worth, and instead create their own pricing that barely covers a technicians time at the job. In the 4-6 times we sent technicians to complete work orders for RMS within a two month period, we did not receive any kind of payment until we stated that we could not accept additional work orders until the 90+ day overdue balance was taken care of. We were repeatedly told they didn't receive our invoices, and we were typically met with disinterested and condescending attitudes from the RMS representatives we spoke with regarding receiving payment for the work we performed. If there is ever an issue or discrepancy, you will rudely be told that it is your fault and your responsibility to fix regardless of the situation. RMS will also encourage your technicians to perform work and testing in inaccurate and unsafe ways to ensure they meet their timelines, which puts your reputation as a business on the line. All in all, I would say if you enjoy not getting paid for your work while also having your office staff degraded on a daily basis, RMS is a great company to work with.
