After days of torrential rain, and during 50+mph winds, a 65 y/o 80-foot white pine tree came down on my house at 10:30pm. 2/3 of the tree was still leaning on the house and roof, while the top 1/3 split on the peak of the roof. This presented a disaster which needed immediate attention as the roof was punctured in various places as it continued to rain, both outside, and now INSIDE. The fire dept. told me to start calling tree service companies and get them there asap. The first two I called were unresponsive, even though they advertise as having 24-hour emergency service. The third call was to Elmwood Services. (I should have called them FIRST!) At 11:30pm, still raining and with record wind speeds, Javier came out to assess the damage and situation. He promised me that his men would be at my house early the next morning, and that the crane, needed to lift the tree off the house, would be there before noon. Javier not only kept his word (and, highly respected reputation) but the crew with the crane literally attacked the tree at 9:30am and were wrapped up by 11:30am.....MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Javier was calm, reassuring in the midst of personal tragedy, professional, and proved to be a highly-skilled crane operator, who guided these enormous 20'+ logs around all the existing trees, power lines, and structures. The bill was very fair considering the scope, location, and emergency aspects of the job. Communications with the office staff was pleasant, professional and expedient. This may sound like a highly-biased, family-member written review. IT IS NOT. I am a highly satisfied customer who will be calling Javier in the near future to deal with my existing trees BEFORE they fall on my house! YOU SHOULD TOO!
