Well Adjusted Chiropractic

Very disappointed in how this office conducts business. They raised their fees for 2024 over 11%. I completely understand everything is going up everywhere, but this is excessive. To make matters worse, I was not informed, it was not until I saw my charge come through from my bank. I was told that it was posted in the office and they planned to mention it after my appointment (which didn't happen, and nothing was said while I sat waiting to get into a room). Yes, AFTER, not before. Does common sense still exist? First off, I never saw a sign, so I'm guessing it's inconspicuous. Also, people don't read signs, I was on my phone while I waited. The owner told me this was how his consultant instructed him to handle it. What terrible advice! I suspected they haven't raised fees for a while and this is how they are making up for it. Also bad business, and also confirmed by the business owner. If you did not do your due diligence and keep up on fee balancing and maintenance, then you need to make a plan to raise more gradually over 2-3 years. Your consultant should also know this. It is not the patients fault you have not properly maintained your business. My suggestion is to hire a new consultant. This is not forthright and is bad business. I also consult for private health practices and I am telling you that you're getting bad advice and you will lose more patients. No one likes surprises and feeling their provider is not being forthright. Fee increases are normal, but it's in small incremental percentages, not one huge increase to make up for your lack of planning and maintenance of your practice!

I don't know how or why this place struggles with billing insurance. I don't have any of the issues this place has with medical billing at literally any other place. Based on my experience - the person that handles the medical billing for insurance genuinely seems lazy and incompetent. Every time you call, this person has taken the day off or on vacation. When they come back - they don't ever return phone calls. I think the chiropractors here are great, but this person is clearly harming this business by overcharging patients. When I called today, the person I spoke with told me every other chiropractor in the area is billing wrong, and they are the only ones doing it right; when the reality is likely to the contrary.

Absolutely the best chiropractor I have ever been to! I have been to a number of them in Michigan & in North Carolina over the past 30+ years -- Dr Brad & the entire staff at Well Adjusted are the best!!!
