    Claim processing is terrible. Sub-par follow-up and customer service continues to decline.

    You are better off not having health insurance at all and paying the fee for it around tax time. This company is run to make money, and they will screw you every which way. Customer support reads off a script like a robot and offer close to no help. Wait times can be a few hours +. Best they will do is send something to be looked at again and it will fall to the wayside until you call again a month later and they have no idea what you're talking about! I have dealt with way too many of their "data errors" causing me to sit on hold for half of my day off due to their own mistakes. I just turned 26 in March of 2023 and switched to my employer's insurance. Their way of giving me a proper send off was to rescind all my medical claims that went through them from 0ctober 2022 - February 2023. I am now left with well over 1000 dollars owed from appointments and treatments I already paid for! One time I needed emergency ambulance transport. Cigna refused to pay ANY of it and I got charged 7,500 for one trip and an additional 4,000 for an ambulance trip from that hospital to a different one! I had to spend several months on the phone fighting to have the amount reduced over and over. My mother has had Cigna for many years now and is in a constant battle with them to get the care she needs for her debilitating back pain. She goes to the doctor and the doctor reccomends and sets her up with treatment. Cigna sends a letter that arrives days before treatment saying they deemed the treatment not "medically necessary". My poor mother has to live with excruciating pain every day. STAY AWAY from these criminals!

    This was not a wise choice to get Cigna Dental coverage. I was without Dental coverage for 5+\- years prior to this. I needed a new mouth guard to protect my front upper bridge (the dog ate it) so I shopped Cigna. Through the application process I was never told there was a 12 month waiting period for major work! Wait, what??? 5 years without coverage and now I have to wait another year to get a night guard? In order to get a proper fitting for my night guard I had to get two caps. with no coverage! I wasnt reimbursed anything only to find out about the 12 month waiting period policy!!! What dentist is going to wait a year for major work? None! I now owe $6,000 for a cleaning, two caps, two impressions, and one night guard!
