We had a tree come down in the last storm and working with Pinnacle Tree was the best. Everyone from the company was great to work with, very professional. They really put our minds to ease with how safely and quickly they took care of the damaged tree. We have already booked them back this spring to handle some other tree problems. I would highly recommend them!

I had tree work to be done in two locations. I called Greg at Pinnacle Tree service and he responded right away! The tree crew showed up on time dropped 3 trees in no time, cleaned up the yard and were exceptionally professional. My neighbor came over and hired them for his tree work. Same for the second location. Highly recommended!

Our property in Augusta is a bit less than 3 acres with a lot of trees and, after a windstorm last October [2019] brought down a large dead ash tree that took three others with it, just missing the house, we realized it was time to call in a professional arborist if we wanted peace of mind. We have home insurance, of course, but who wants to deal with damage, claims, and repairs, let alone risk of injury? After calling around and doing some web research, we found Pinnacle Tree, and it was not a difficult choice. Theyre local and really are professionals. We can see why they have good reviews: Greg, one of the owners of the business, came out to survey and give an estimate, arrived punctually, communicated clearly, and answered all questions we had. He showed us where some trees were diseased or potentially dangerous, things we hadnt seen until he pointed them out. The cost estimate was reasonable, so we said lets do it. Greg worked us into the crews schedule for about a month later, and that was fine; its always said that if you want something done right, have a busy man (outfit) do it, and so it proved when they arrived for the job. Co-owner Harry oversaw the operation. The scope of work was confirmed and the crew set about it. Numerous small nuisance trees were cut down, a very large basswood tree had three diseased leaders removed and the rest cabled together, several maples were elevated (unwanted lower boughs removed) to improve light in our back garden, a dead leader of a large ash tree was removed, and a large dead maple was taken down. Pinnacle used all the right equipment and safety gear, and the hazards of falling boughs were minimized. All wood and brush that came down was trimmed and piled where we directed. We could have had Pinnacle haul it away, but we avoided that additional expense because a neighbor had asked for the wood and was willing to dispose of the brush as well. Pinnacle was fine with that arrangement, having quoted the tree work and the haulaway separately. The entire job was completed in about 8 hours. Harry even gave us a recommendation for a landscaper to do some further tree work that is outside the scope of what Pinnacle Tree does, and that person dropped by later in the afternoon to discuss it. In sum, if I have further need for an arborist, Pinnacle Tree will be my first call and I have no hesitation in recommending their service to anyone similarly situated. Their price is fair, theyll work with you, and theyll do it right. March 2024 update: The cable stabilizing the remaining two leaders on our basswood tree (ref'd above) let go when one of the two anchoring screw-eyes came out of the leader, so I called Pinnacle back to inspect and offer a recommendation. Greg came, saw the problem, and explained that the technology has evolved somewhat since the original work was done four years ago: Now, instead of a cable, the best arborist practice is a reinforced band that goes around the leader on each end with a shock absorber in the middle of the span. That sounded good to me so we scheduled the work, and today Pinnacle's crew came to install the band. From the look of it, I'd say it is a clearly superior solution to this problem, and the cost was again reasonable. Pinnacle remains my recommended first call for any substantial tree work in central Maine.
