We stayed for our sons Marine Corp graduation, and our room was very nice. My only issue was the cleanliness of the window. It was hard to see out to enjoy the view but luckily we were only in the room in the evening. I would definitely stay here again. Very close to MCRD and Old Town SD.

Best Western recently took over this hotel. We booked at Comfort Inn and arrived at the BW for a 5 day stay w/ 2 teens. Staff was EXCEPTIONAL, special kudos to Ashley at the front desk. She was pretty new but very friendly, helpful and resourceful! All of the staff were very friendly and on it. We stayed in a suite which was large enough for 5 of us. Room was clean and updated. Decent complimentary breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, muffins, toast and fruit along with a variety of juices, milk and coffee with creamer. Pool is heated, nice and warm, and the jacuzzi was nice and hot. The property is also monitored by security, though nothing seemed sketchy while we were there. Nice place to stay, not super fancy but we enjoyed it!

I had stayed at a hotel-on-Hotel Circle in the past and should have known better than to stay here again. We got in late at night for a one-night stay and the reception area was nice. We were told by the receptionist we should part in the parking structure since cars have been broken into and hit by drunk drivers. We were also told the front doors are locked due to rift rafts loitering around the hotel. We should have left then but figured it was one night and what could go wrong?We took the elevator to the third floor, and I thought we were in a horror movie. We walked slowly to our room and seriously thought about leaving. I will post pictures. I can't even bear to write everything that was wrong with this place. There were other floors that seemed a tad better, but I guess being a loyalty member staying for one night on their birthday doesn't get you a better room, it gets you their worst room. I used to like best western. I thought I had done a Yelp search. I need to pay better attention.
