My baby was born in the thick of COVID yet, I had a magical birth experience with Amanda at Equinox! Her experience as an emergency medical technician allowed me to feel a sense of safety. Her massage therapy and soothing presence made me feel relaxed and calm! My husband and I felt supported during the entire birth process and post birth. Where Amanda separated herself from the rest of my birth team was when I developed Postpartum Psychosis (PP). PP was outside of my midwifery teams scope and they referred me out as best they could. Amanda, however went beyond her scope and sought to help me during the entire COVID and PP craziness. My husband and I credit my team, but mostly Amanda that I came out of PP so rapidly. I promise you, she is the woman to trust for this very special time!

My experience with Malerie Brock was simply wonderful. She spent many hours going over my birth goals and plans, as well as discussing how things went with my first birth (I only had the OB for the first) and I found her to be completely supportive and I learned a lot that I had never even considered in my planning. She was a fantastic resource whenever I had questions about labor, delivery, or even pregnancy problems. Malerie was a voice of reason in my labor process and it was so reassuring to me to know that even though the midwife and nursing staff there didn't know me personally, I had Malerie on my side to make sure my voice was heard and my wishes were honored when I was in too much pain to communicate effectively. She was a joy to have involved in my pregnancy, labor, and delivery! She brought humor and warmth as well as good distracting conversation into the delivery room and my husband was able to get a few hours of much-needed sleep while she paced the halls with me between contractions. She was by my side when I delivered my daughter and cheered me on the entire way while offering what little physical comfort can be had during delivery. After having Malerie as my doula I won't go through another pregnancy, labor, and delivery without her! I can't recommend her strongly enough.

Malorie and Amanda gave my husband and I the information and support we needed To achieve our vbac. They gave me the tools to be in control of my own birth experience and helped to achieve the non surgical birth I needed. It was a very healing process for me and I am forever grateful that they were a part of it.

I am so blessed to have had these women as a part of my prenatal, birth, and postpartum journey. If I am ever pregnant again I would ABSOLUTELY want them on my team again. It's hard to explain in words how grateful I am to know Amanda and Malerie. I felt connected to them from the very beginning, and never experienced anything but total support from them. The ceremony I did with them the week after I gave birth was something that I would particularly recommend. It gave me an opportunity to process my birth and feel all of those emotions in a safe place. I wish every new mama was able to experience it.

I highly recommend Malerie! She was absolutely wonderful during my birth. I had a longer wait time for labor to kick in and she was really in tune with the emotions going on. She knew the right questions to ask at the right times and helped me feel all the emotions to progress labor. Very professional and easy to connect with. I loved having her at my birth.
