        Beautiful location, animals everywhere and trails are gorgeous. WiFi never worked while I was there. Four stars because there are too many border patrol agents in this area. Lots of speed traps on the way to this hotel. Also 30 minutes away if you want food or gas after sunset.

        No cell service, so it's a great retreat to really purge from social media. There's a lot of human habituated wildlife here, so great opportunities to observe and photograph deer, javelina, coati, and all kinds of birds. Rooms are great, with kitchen amenities and full bathrooms, gorgeous views. No TV. A perfect place for anyone who truly enjoys the outdoors. We had a great time here. Food & drinks: Bring food with you, shopping opportunities in Portal are limited.

      With 7 acres in the Chiricahua Mountains, Cave Creek Ranch has plenty of trails for bird lovers, hikers, and nature lovers to enjoy. Our lodging includes four cottages, two lodges, and a ranch house. We are open year-round, so come unplug from technology and take in the beautiful Arizona scenery.
