Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Chandler, AZ

If there was a choice of no stars, this 'hotel' deserves it. We needed a place to stay for one night in Chandler, AZ. We figured a Country Inn & Suites would be ideal as we enjoyed the one in downtown Flagstaff, AZ. Choosing the one in Chandler was the worst hotel mistake of our lives. As soon as we parked, there were a few sketchy characters lurking around. Entering the front doors, the stench which was like a mixture of marijuana and cigarettes, engulfs you. We should have left just on this aspect. We decided to check in as it was a non-refundable rate. The front desk person was cordial and friendly. We unlock the door to the room and it's presentable on first glance but it becomes apparent that things are not copacetic. The bed and bedding included mismatched sheets (off white and a weird pink combination). There was a tear in the bottom sheet and multiple yellow stains. There were three pillows and one of them was covered with just a pillow protector complete with broken zipper. The pillow inside looked very old and brown. I don't think they have a housekeeping staff. The bathroom consisted of just two mismatched bath towels which didn't look clean. The facial tissue box was empty. Is it that difficult to replace it? There were stains on the drapes and it could have been blood or another dark substance. After about 15 minutes, we decided to leave as the room and property were not acceptable in that condition. To summarize, whatever you do, do not stay at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson in Chandler, AZ.

Simply, this place is filthy and in need of maintenance. While the staff are very nice, it seems like they are not really cleaning or maintaining the building. Moldy smells, holes in the carpet, trash and dirt in the common spaces and hallways. This hotel seems more like it was being used as a homeless shelter than a hotel. I suspect the prior reviews of being a 5 star hotel are fake
