Market Your Business During the Holiday Season
Tis the season to start thinking about holiday printing. Your corporate image over the holidays must be consistent, promotional and creative.
Custom printing offers the opportunity for both advertising and reaching customers on a more personal level. Corporate
holiday cards, promotional postcards, and sales flyers can be created with little expense while having lots of impact.
Whether it's fold over or postcard style, the corporate holiday card is a great way to reconnect with your customer base. Consider using a photograph of the company employees on the front cover. This helps emphasize the human aspect of your business. Although you will have to use generic greetings on the front and inside of the corporate holiday card don't be afraid to be creative and fun. Use familiar language but avoid slang. A Christmas card should not be stiff and formal but warm and caring, even if it comes from a business.
Holiday themed postcards can be used by businesses to promote upcoming sales, clearances, or open houses. There are two main sizes of postcards available: regular and oversized. Consider buying both sizes in consistent but slightly different design templates. Use smaller postcards for individual customers and the larger postcards for corporate customers. Blend holiday themed design templates with corporate branding, logos, and color palettes.
No holiday is complete without a sale. Corporate sale flyers can be ordered at a minimal expense and have a maximum impact. Choose eye-catching, winter related graphics, or clipart for the corporate promotional flyer. Be sure to highlight money-saving discounts, coupon codes, or special offers. Use different size fonts to get your message across. Be sure not to overcrowd the promotional flyer with too many graphics, photographs or text. Less is often more when creating promotional materials.
Incorporate company branding, logos and colors when designing your custom holiday promotional materials. Check with human resources about copyright infringement and uploading logos originals to the custom printer's website. Be sure your printing choices are seasonal and offer mass appeal. For instance sales literature should promote the entire store rather than a single department, especially during the holidays. Brainstorm custom printing ideas well in advance of ordering.
Combine the purchase of holiday cards, postcards and promotional flyers with in-store banners, posters and promotional giveaways. Order your custom printing in bulk to save money on both shipping and per piece pricing. Consider an overall theme for all promotional literature. If you use a snowman on your corporate holiday cards and promotional flyers continue the theme on your banners and in-store promotions. Be sure to proofread everything carefully.
As online shopping continues to grow in popularity many people avoid the stores and local malls until the holiday season arrives. Use custom printing to get people through your door and spending money. Mail out your season themed promotional postcards and flyers well in advance of any sale and follow up later with a second advertising piece. Many online printers offer bulk mailing in your geographical area. Take advantage of this time-saving offer.
