Bronx has always been left out by many of the grocery companies for the kind of crime rate that they have. Probably, that is the reason why many of the companies prefer to serve Riverdale and Woodlawn rather than going for all the zip codes in Bronx. However, FreshDirect has now made an announcement that they will serve to entire Bronx no matter whatever the zip code. FreshDirect made two announcements where they also agreed that they will be accepting food stamps as payment over internet.

The company said that they needed to improve their business in the future and therefore they are trying out their strategies on impoverished South Bronx. Although, many of the rival companies of FreshDirect feel that the company is making a wrong decision but FreshDirect has said that they are thrilled that they will be serving the entire Bronx from May 21. FreshDirect CEO, Jason Ackerman said that they are happy that they will provide Bronx residents quality fresh foods that can keep them healthy. FreshDirect has also said that they will announce more jobs when they will be expanding in Bronx. The company will receive $120 million from the city and state so that they can improve their business.
