While most Americans associate the city of Boise with potato production, it is also the capital city of Idaho and the economic and cultural center of the state as well as the county seat of Ada County.  With a population of more than 205,000 people and a designation as the #1 Most Secure Place to Live, the city itself has much more to offer than just its world famous potatoes.

Boise's local economy relies less on potatoes and agriculture as many might think. It is the host of the home office of several large corporations, including Idaho Timber, Albertsons LLC and WinCo Foods.  While the population continues to grow and the city to expand, it is a remarkably homogenous city with Caucasian residents making up nearly nine-tenths of the population.
