Albuquerque is the largest city in New Mexico and is the county seat of Bernalillo County. It is located in the central part of the state, surrounding that stretch of the Rio Grande. Albuquerque is the fittest state in the U.S.A., according to the March 2007 edition of Men's Fitness. It has numerous parks, hiking areas and bike paths all over the metro area, and most connect to the Manzano and Sandia foothills.
