Austin Roofing Company | Bill Sprauer

I've worked twice with Bill Sprauer both as an employee at another roofing company and more recently as an owner of his own business. Both experiences have been very positive. Bill has impressed me as someone focused on building a long term relationship. Accordingly, he has passed on a couple of chances to charge me for work that turned out not to be necessary. His manner is straightforward and to the point and he is very responsive.

Scheduled an appointment to look at my missing shingles, but no one showed up. There was no follow-up appointment or update then the storm came which now had ballooned my cost to fix the roof to include demoing part of my home and drying. The audacity to also offer services of water damage restoration after the cause was them not showing up to fix my roof.

Sprauer Roofing did a fantastic job on our new roof install, from the initial inspection to completion of the job. Justin was communicative and very helpful throughout the process and he and the crew were prompt, efficient and left the property as if nothing had happened. Highly recommend for any roofing repair or install needs.

The overall experience with Sprauer Roofing has been a nightmare, and I would recommend that you stay away from this company like the plague. From the unpleasant and unprofessional project managers who ghost you, to the owner himself, who will ignore you after he gets your money, you shouldn't trust them. The whole story: I first engaged them to fix four leaks in my metal roof back in June. Two weeks (the first time it rained after the work) after supposedly fixing the leaks, 3 out of the 4 places were leaking again. I contacted Chris, the project manager who had done the work, about the issue (which he told me to do), and he didn't respond to my messages. I had to contact the main offices to get any type of response, after which Troy, another project manager, came out and did some more work. This was mid-summer, so we didn't see any rain for at least another month or two, but literally the first time it rained again, two of the spots were still leaking. At this point I should have cut my losses and went with another company, since why would I trust Sprauer Roofing to get it right after they failed 2 separate times. Against my better judgment, I called Bill, the Owner, and he said he was taking care of it personally. He sent Chris, the original project manager, out to take a look, and Chris told me he no longer worked for Sprauer Roofing, and asked for more money to fix the same leaks. I of course called Bill and told him about the situation, and he assured me he'd be taking care of it. It's been 2.5 weeks since then, and I haven't heard a word, despite leaving multiple messages. This company lacks any shred of professionalism or accountability, and cannot be trusted to fix an umbrella, let alone your roof. My recommendation would be to stay away from them and get someone who'll actually get the work done. Service: Roof repair
