I placed an order on 2/27/24 for a delivery on 3/4/24. My order included a standard tulip and pine bouquet, a small box of chocolates and two Mylar balloons. It was a gift for my moms birthday. She called to say thanks and also sent me pictures of her delivery. I could not believe what they were passing for a small box of chocolates. It came in a big red box and contained 10pieces of Hershey chocolate nuggets! Now Im not expecting fancy chocolates or anything. But random pieces of Hershey chocolates as my order of small chocolates? Youve got to be kidding me. So then I asked my mom about the balloons and she said she never got them! She said the lady told her they flew away. What the helll??! They delivered around 1:15pm. They close at 3pm and they never called to notify me that they let the balloons fly away and didnt deliver it at all?? I think this is pretty ridiculous. Am I overreacting? Because I paid good money for these items and to be played like this is so insulting. I at least want the bare minimum which is my order I paid for. Were they just hoping for the best and thought that me and the recipient wouldnt talk and discuss what was missing? I wanted to give a local small business a chance and it had great reviews but obviously it must be friends leaving these reviews. Either go with a more well known business or get it yourself guys. I live in Houston so I would have done it myself if I could. At this point reviews dont mean anything on google. You just gotta cross your fingers and hope for the best or get recommendations from people you actually know. UPDATE: I called and talked to the delivery driver and owner. The delivery driver said that she told the recipient that the balloons flew away and they would deliver it later. I was not notified at all. She basically said that telling the recipient was enough. I disagree because you should definitely notify the buying customer of any mishaps. The owner even asked what do you want me to do about it? I thought I heard a man in the background saying something about lying and she said oh no thats my landlord asking for my rent money. Wth? She offered half of a refund and to deliver the balloons later today. I told her dont even worry about the balloons and go ahead and refund the money. She said have a nice day and hung up. Waiting on this refund so well see if they even do that. I hate to blast companies but come on now. Please tell me Im not overreacting. Did you really think that box of chocolates was acceptable? $108 could have been spent better.
