Geny's Flowers
Saying it with Flowers since 1868. Geny's was established in Nashville in the early 1920s but had its roots in Middle Tennessee long before that. In 1858, Leon and John Geny arrived in Nashville from Alsace, France to design the gardens at the Belmont Estate of Joseph Acklen. When the magnificent project was completed, John Geny set out to teach French in the local area, but what in hindsight appears to be a stroke of good luck, he could not find a teaching position. So Geny launched his own business in 1868. The first greenhouse was built on land received as a wedding present at Warren and Jackson streets. Additional sales were handled at Market Square where the Farmers Market now stands. Geny's began by serving the growing retail florist market and eventually opened four retail shops in the area and wholesale locations in Jackson, TN, and Athens, AL. Today, Geny's Flowers and Wholesale is owned and operated by a new generation of local Nashville residents. The company moved in 2004 to its present location.

I walked into the store and it was such a warm vibe. Everyone I spoke to from the time I walked in to the time I left was so incredibly kind and welcoming!
The owner showed me around the store and told me they have DIY options. Not many places offer that so I was excited about that option.
Fast forward to Morgan - the lead florist. WHAT A JOY! She was so warm, knowledgeable and kind!!! The kind of human you want to be friends with. I can't say enough good things about her. She asked me my budget and came back with options. I wanted a bouquet with greenery and minimal color. She nailed it!! Toffee roses, orchids, eucalyptus and so much more!
If you are in Nashville and need any kind of floral assistance you have to go here!!! You will not be disappointed.
I hope this place is around for many years to come.
