Isabelle helped us find our first home quite a few years back. She was patient, kind, and helped us get the house that was perfect for us at that time. After our experience with Isabelle we referred friends and family to her. All have had great experiences. In Portland's tricky real estate market it is good to know someone who you can rely on and trust. Now we are seeking a new home that is within a small neighborhood boundary and on a public educator budget. She gives us regular timely updates on homes that may fit our needs and I am confident that she will help us find something that will be a great fit again.

We had to sell my mother in law's house after she passed away suddenly. Isabelle was recommended by our probate attorney so we trusted his judgment and were sorely disappointed for multiple reasons. Our biggest problem with Isabelle was poor communication, she told us she was going to call the city to find out if one of the bedrooms could be legally listed as such and also she promised to check on having a concrete step removed. After multiple attempts to contact Isabelle and about 2 weeks after we'd discussed these issues, she finally replied with "I am in "phone emergency" mode so haven't been able to get that information. My phone died and I am scrambling to replace it AND change carriers! It is actually better for you to find out for yourself" She gave us some random phone number, which I called and it was the wrong number, I eventually tracked down the information I needed with no help from Isabelle and an hour out of my work day. When it came time to list the house, Isabelle suggested a price to us and we'd asked for some comparisons of houses recently sold in the area. We did NOT agree on a listing price at that point and she ended up listing the house without receiving the green light from us, or confirming our agreement on the listing price. The house was sold within a few days, however we knew that the location of the house itself would guarantee a quick sale. The only reason we hired an agent was because we were overwhelmed with the probate process as a whole and had never sold a house on our own. We had hoped that hiring an agent would help alleviate some of the stress and help the situation, but in all honesty it only contributed to it. The only communication after the house sold was her promotional post card with houses that she had recently sold (ours). Not one word after the house sold, not a thank you note for entrusting her with the sale of my mother in law's house. We weren't expecting anything extravagant; however, the lack of any thank you or acknowledgement for a healthy commission felt rude and disrespectful and significantly contributed to our already low opinion of this agent. I would not recommend Isabelle to anyone selling and/or buying a home. I also will be sharing this opinion with our attorney because I wouldn't want anyone else in our situation to experience the level of frustration and disappointment as we did.
