Incredible experience. The staff was caring and personable and made they understood the issues. I received a quote from the dealership that was 10X what I was charged here. I had to consider selling my car the dealership repair was so expensive. Then I found Hans and now my car drives better than ever!

Hans Art Automotive have great customer services. The mechanics take great pride in their services, are very professional, knowledgeable and great pleasure to deal with. My car was in and out of the shop within the same day. They thorough checked it out so as to detect where the break down was and fixed it in minutes. Superb!!

Got my car fixed here. Very satisfied with the repair done, but I’m taking a star off due to lack of communication. I had requested for my car key to be left inside the car, because I could not pick it up by their 5:30pm closing time. However, they didn’t leave the key as requested, at least I thought they didn’t because they had hidden it so well and failed to communicate to me where they hid the key. I did a thorough search - under both visors, the pockets of each door, the trunk and glove compartment, but I couldn’t find the key. I had a remote way of opening the car, but I personally did not have a spare key, so I had to call upon the co-owner of my car, to let me borrow his key so I can drive home. It was a great hassle and cost me over an hour of frustration. I had texted Sophia the Office manager/receptionist (?) many times asking her where the key is, and I got no response. By 9:30 AM the next day I still had no response, so I texted her again, and it turns out that they hid the key deep under the seat. Who would’ve thought of this? I had commented to Sophia that it would’ve been nice if they would’ve communicated to me exactly where they hid the key, which would’ve saved me a big headache the night before, and I got no response and no apologies. With customer service like this, I will NOT be coming back here for further automotive work.

As a 20-year customer who always demands the best, I can attest Hans Art is the best San Francisco mechanic you could ever hope to find. Han's is as honest as the day is long. Vignette: one time I had Art check out the cause of an engine malfunction. He looked things over and determined I simply needed an adjustment of the engine's fuel flow. When I picked up the car, the price I paid = NO CHARGE. Enough said. P.S. I have a friend named Althea who moved to San Jose. Over the years she has driven her car to Han's in San Francisco whenever her various cars have needed service or repairs. Art's shop is like a dentist, once you find a good one, you don't dare go to anyone else.
