Cool location set off the roadway at the top of a hill with nice mountain views. Great value for the price point. The service was great. Casey at the front desk addressed 2 issues we had quickly. During breakfast James Stephanie and Kelly were more than accommodating and made it very special for my kids which definitely made some lasting memories from this trip.

My husband, children and I just spent a long weekend in Roanoke. I do want to say that we an amazing time and the location of the hotel and view is beautiful but the hotel was the worst part of our stay. We picked this hotel specifically for the pool since it was spring break for our kids. We were not told ahead of time that the pool was down and walked in to immediately disappoint the kids with no swim. We spoke to the receptionist (who was very nice, all the employees were friendly and nice) and was told it would be fixed the next day. It wasnt. The next day we were told the same thing and told again the following day. We ended up having to spend $50 to go an indoor pool place and prevent riots with the kids lol. Since we assumed that we would be at a hotel we didnt bring towels and had to buy more so thats another $20. That would not have been a huge deal to me exceptjust the honest reflect, the rooms were not clean and had not been throughly cleaned in a while. There was no shower gel, in fact that bottle was broken and no employee had noticed so we went and bought our own. Another $10. The bathroom was gross. There was mystery hair everywhere (Even on the CEILINGlike how?!?) when I went to put away our clothes the drawers in the living room area were full of literal trash. We found dirty paper towels, aluminum foil balls and even a chewed up tennis ball which was odd since I thought pets werent allowed? And lots of dust and dirt. My children are allergic to dogs so it did leave me worried that there was dander everywhere so I had to go to goodwill and get blankets to cover the bed to make sure they were exposed to any dander or hair. I did tell the attendant about the hair in the shower and they came up and fixed that but I dont think they touched or cleaned anything else. Just that hair. I didnt want to come off as a Karen or disrespectful so I just bought some cleaning supplies (another $20) and did my own once over. So overall I give three stars. The employees were very nice and friendly and the hotel was lovely in the reception area and the view and the rooms were sizable. The biggest problem with was the pool (and honestly it wouldnt have been a big deal if they had alerted us) and the cleanliness. I do wish the hotel had offered to cover the pool but I understand youre limited on what you could do but we had an additional $100 in expenses we werent prepared for due to their lack of due diligence. We could have taken those funds and just stayed in a nicer hotel.
