I was passing and I stop by to check the building and was impressed for the renovation and also the service manager was always professional Mr kwet Achitophel since 2011.

I have lived at Merrill House for over 2 years. Things are definitely better with Eagle Rock. The office staff is very responsive to all requests and Kwet and team are always respectful and work diligently and response quickly to all requests.

I have lived at Merrill House Apartments for over 10 years and since Eagle Rock took over the property in the of spring 2022 everything has gotten much better. Eagle Rock has updated all common areas throughout the building including the lobby and hallways. They also added a gym and a resident lounge both of which are really nice amenities to have. Kwet and Nakkia the people who fix the maintenance issues are both really helpful and complete requests in a timely and professional manner. Mariah is very helpful with questions and problems that needs to be address. Mia who is the community manager is also very helpful. I would recommend living here 100%.

Do not rent here, unless you are ok dealing with a property management company(Eagle Rock Properties) that engages in questionable and unethical business practices. They recently made all the tenants cancel their internet services and forced them to get the internet through them at their "special" price, which is $63 per month for 300mps, the slowest internet option via Verizon. Anyone can get much cheaper price directly from Verizon, which lists the cheaper price, clearly on their website. If you are a Verizon Wireless customer, you can actually get the same internet service for $24.99 plus a $15 monthly discount on your wireless service directly from Verizon, however not if you move in here, you will be forced to pay the $63 and lose any discount towards your cell service because even though Merrill House uses Verizon, they force you to open an account through a third party vendor called Onboard; its how they circumvent VA Code and FCC regulations prohibiting such practices. Also, elevators are always out of services, repairs are subpar, and property management are aloof, it is hit or miss which concerns they choose to address. If you want to live in the area, wait until that big building opens up down the block, I'm sure it will be much more classy and reputable. Not renewing my lease again.
