The offhand comment upon entering VCA University Veterinary Clinic, initially stating "We don't like cats" followed by "Just kidding," added an unnecessary layer of negativity to my first-time client experience.Sadly, their service left much to be desired. It seemed their primary focus was on pushing their products, particularly the food they were selling. Despite expressing my financial constraints as a college student, they still pressured me into purchasing unnecessary items. This was particularly frustrating considering my cat was quite ill at the time. During my appointment, which was scheduled, I was left waiting until a staff meeting concluded before I could even see a veterinarian. This delay only added to my frustration. When I finally did see the vet, it felt rushed and lacked the thoroughness I had hoped for. They performed a basic physical exam and then proceeded to push more products without adequately addressing my concerns or providing guidance on how to care for my pet. I was genuinely shocked by the conditions of the examination room at VCA University Veterinary Clinic. The level of cleanliness was appalling. Animal hair littered the floor, and to my disbelief, there was even peanut butter smeared on the examination desk. As a client, I was left in the uncomfortable position of having to clean up before my appointment could proceed. Such neglect of basic hygiene standards is unacceptable in any medical setting,. I would caution others against visiting this specific location, as it seems their priorities lie more in sales than in providing genuine care and support for animals and their owners.

Dr VanSickle is one of kindest and most compassionate veterinarians Ive ever had the pleasure in meeting. I have two dogs with significant health issues. One that was recently diagnosed with epilepsy and the other diagnosed with lymphoma. She has cared for them both with the gentleness any pet parent would hope for. Dr VanSickle responds to my frantic emails and always figures a way to help in their care. She is creative in how to move forward and always honest with their prognosis. I highly recommend her as well as her incredible staff.

Dont go here, theyre just milking people for money. This office recommended a new prescribed diet for my sick cat, which made him feel better, and then proceeded to tell me that they cannot allow me to buy more from them without seeing my now healthy cat. Out of desperation, I made the pointless appointment and asked to come buy a little food just to get him by until then and they told me no because I might cancel the appointment??? How sick
