Sarah was the best realtor I could have asked for as a first time buyer in a hectic NOVA market. Sarah and her partner took the time to sit with me for over 3 hours prior to even beginning the search in order to walk through the ins-and-outs of a contract and the various levers we could use to our favor when preparing an offer, all so that I would feel prepared and educated walking into a contract offer. When I identified a home, Sarah, while she was taking vacation in France mind you, identified a pre-inspector within hours and negotiated a winning contract from across the Atlantic!

Sarah & her husband are neighbors. I've known OF her for years but didn't really know HER at all. Honestly, I was intimidated by the impression I had of her, which turned out to be totally without merit. I unexpectedly inherited a home that I needed to sell quickly because it had a huge reverse mortgage that was racking up serious interest every month. It was getting to be the end of the season and I was increasingly anxious about the whole thing. So, I reached out to Sarah, to see if this was something she would take on for me. I was struck by a conversation we had early on: She wanted to get a feel for how emotionally invested I was in the house. She listened to what I was saying (turns out I wasn't emotionally invested) before she gave me her take on things. She assessed the property, explained her strategy, presented options that I could live with, and laid out potential timelines. It all worked: Sarah sold the place two days after the Open House. She has a stable of painters, cleaners, landscapers, and contractors that can - in timely & cost-efficient ways - get a house ready to sell. (And she makes it her business to know what those teams are doing and how long it's taking them, so the whole process can stay on track.) She knows the territory; she knows the communities; she can and will get on the phone and make stuff happen. She always took my frantic calls, answered my emails, replied to my late-night texts, and explained in detail the answers to my ignorant and repetitive questions. She made me tired just watching her in action! I do NOT know where she gets the energy. Perhaps it's because she loves what she does? If Sarah had a spirit animal, it would be a West Highland White Terrier: Smart, loyal, fearless, and tenacious. Whatever the case, Sarah Harrington got me through a time that was financially difficult and psychologically stressful, and she did it with humor and tenacity and good will. For me, in my situation, she was worth her weight in gold. Maybe even platinum.
