One of the cheapest apartments with amenities that is very close to the metro. Maintenance responds quickly. Easy portal for paying rent and accessing documents. They have community events for the apartment complex which are nice.

If you need disability accommodations, look elsewhere. The property manager, Troy, will tell you you're not disabled enough even if you have valid doctors letters. Maintenance staff is outsourced to another company amd will text you for hours to days before fixing this issue. They will also tell you how to fix it yourself. We might as well not have concierge/front desk staff; although they have a hard job managing tons of packages, they are gone from the desk the majority of the time when the leasing office staff is gone. They are unprofessional and playing loud videos, rolling their eyes, or talking back. Also why is it always smelly. The peak is the size of the units.

This building has some of the biggest apartments in the area though the building is slightly old and finishes are not the most premium but they are decent for the rent. Stuff breaks down often but the building staff is co-operative and responsive to get things fixed quickly. I have been staying here for 2.5 years and have had appliances breakdown a couple of times but the management has replaced it with brand new ones. The gym, cardio needs a bit of a revamp because the equipment is old. The lounge TVs and outdoor garden TV doesnt work. Pets are allowed and they have a great dog park! Pros and cons just like any other building but we like it here.

The sunrooms which are in every single apartment cause EXCESSIVE electricity bills. 10 foot tall wrap around windows are not proper insulation and will cause your AC bills in the Summer and your heating bills in the Winter to easily be double or triple what they should normally be for the size of your apartment. The sunroom itself is left inconvenient to use due to the extreme temperature difference in that room compared to the rest of the apartment. The maintenance is hilarious. The apartment complex's maintenance team will literally try to insist that you pick up their tools from the office and do the repairs yourself. I am not even kidding, you have to argue with them that you are not a handyman and will not do repairs for them. I seriously wish this was a joke, but I've got the messages. The sprinkler system in my apartment also randomly leaked and ruined some of my possessions as the building is shoddily built. Construction occurring across the street, I've been woken up by hammers, dump trucks, you name it the entire time I've been here. I asked the leasing office if there was anything that could be done about this or if they knew when the construction would end and they gaslighted me saying "Sir, no one else is experiencing this noise issue" as there's a jackhammer going off in the distance. The parking spots in the garage, which they charge $100 each a month for, were deficiently designed and as a result they are far too narrow for American vehicles. Damage to your car is likely. Don't know if it's for all floors, but on the ground floor cockroaches were a thing. If something is out of service, expect it to remain that way for weeks or months. We're talking garage doors not working, elevators not working, pieces of equipment in the gym not working, stays that way for weeks. The TVs in the 'Club Room' do not work. Wanted to watch the game with friends up there? Nah, you can't. TV outside by the garden? Nope, doesn't work. Concierge frequently puts up a sign that says they are 'out on the premises' and leaves for 30 - 45 minutes, no way to get your package during this time. Frequent noise in the garden area has been a regular complaint. The pool is frankly awful and is a maximum of 3 feet deep. At one point while living here, I started to receive dozens and dozens of different apartment's gas bills all at the same time. This occurred to the extent that the mailman stuffed my inbox to the point where it could barely be opened. I went to the leasing office and told them about this and it continued for weeks until I called the gas company and the post office several times and implored them to stop mailing me other residents bills because the office did nothing about it. My unit had the old 90s spiral stove top burners which aren't exactly what you'd expect from a $2K+ a month apartment. By the way, they put in your lease that if you ever want the privilege of moving out of their shoddy apartment complex, you have to pay them over $5k. Waiting on the apartment complex to reply with excuses and lies because they know all of the above is factual. So anyway, if you're thinking about choosing the Meridian at Braddock, enjoy living there.
