        The knowledge of the PT was incredible and I made progress, which is the point of going to therapy.  However, had I not been incredible motivate and had strong family support, I would have quit due to the unprofessional, uncaring treatment by Nora Sanchez, my assigned PT.  During my 8 weeks of treatment, Nora gave me NO encouragement at any time with the exception of a time during a session when I requested encouragement.  I said, "that was really hard!  It would help me if sometime you could just tell me i did a good job."  Nora replied, "Did you have any symptoms?"  I replied that I did a little.  Nora then said, "then it wasn't good was it?"Nora frequently worked on notes on her iPad or on one session visited with receptionist while I was doing exercises on one foot for balance,  wing at risk for falls.  The last session Nora was sarcastic to me.  She asked how many of an exercise I had done and I said I didn't know and thought she was counting. (On previous sessions she should tell me when to quit).  Nora replied, "it's not my job to count."I never received information in how exercises would help me so that I could carry it over to daily living.  I did begin asking so that I could learn more and improve my safety at home.Working with Nora caused anxiety and discouragement.  The faculty was clean and pleasant, but I would not recommend Nora to anyone.  Her knowledge is wasted if she lacks the ability to communicate with and relate to her clients.
