People complaining that the staff are rude or somehow less than helpful are coming into this store with incorrect notions about what customer service really is. Don't go to this store expecting fake grins and forced 'sirs' and 'ma'ams' while nobody actually cares about what happens to you.
This is a privately-owned, small business. It handles a very high volume of business with two (sometimes three) employees. I remember specifically when a large pharmacy chain advertised a 'guarantee' of a fifteen-minute wait on all prescriptions, so I went there instead of to Metroview with one prescription. The bored teenager at the window yawned and said "We're real backed up... it's going to be about an hour."
I drove to Metroview and had my meds in ten minutes.
The staff at Metroview have caught mistakes or conflicts on my prescriptions that could have been dangerous... and not just once. They have regularly gotten on the phone to straighten out my doctors and insurance companies when there were problems with them. They know me by name, the know my situation, and they have never been short or rude with me. The cashiers call everyone 'darlin'' or 'sweetie', when they don't use sir or ma'am.
Real customer service is knowing what you're doing and doing it fast, not packing a building with fifteen low-wage part-timers that could care less if you get the wrong prescription or how long you wait for it. They keep you waiting at the big-box stores exactly how long their marketing people tell them to... so you'll walk around BUYING things!
Go to Metroview expecting professional, knowledgeable staff that are handling the same number of prescriptions as the big chain stores do... just don't expect them to be robots who never show human emotions while they do it.
The complaints above seem to me to be from people who went to this store one time when three stressed humans (doing the work of ten people) had the unmitigated gall to let their emotions show. The complainers were probably the rude ones.
Don't pay the complainers any attention because this I trust this pharmacy to get it right, and fast, every single time. I've been seeing them twice a month or more for over eight years... I know what I'm talking about.
