Americas Best Value Inn Charlotte, NC - Closed

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! When I first walked in there was a strong musky smell. I realized the bed looked like blankets were just thrown on there which they were. They had sheets on the bed didnt even fit the bed. I couldnt get one side even close to fitting on the mattress. Not to mention the sheets had multiple cigarette holes in them. The toliet wouldnt flush it started to over flow thats when we had enough and went down stairs to try and switch rooms or get our money back. The uneducated front desk guy told me its been more then 15 min in the room so I cant switch.. I asked so Im suppose to stay in a room with a toliet that doesnt flush and is flooding and he said yes I was mind blown. He then told me to be quiet since the room wasnt under my name.. we asked for the managers number just for the manager to send us to voice mail multiple times. Before we even got into our room we had 2 people come up and ask us if we had a cigarette they could have. The stairs up to the room had trash all over them. The shower rod is barley hanging on its coming out of the wall. They are scraping up every last dollar they can to keep this place open. I paid 70$ to stay there 30 min I dont know how they are open after reading the reviews. Its THAT BAD.

I did not stay here. I was passing through and I already knew it was not a good area. Circle K next door had 12 in the parking lot. Like a normal person I looked into the area and a few of my friends, and they said not a good idea. I was cool with that, I gave you guys 5 stars because the guy at the front desk was so helpful and very polite to me and the kids even gave me some ideas to take the kids once we got where we were going. My point is before you book a room anywhere you have not been before. Look around and YOU decide whether youre going to stay or not. 12/28/2022. Front desk man needs a promotion asap. He went above and beyond and thats the customer service I like.
