I've rented from Southwedge Properties for 11 yrs. I really like my apartment. Officer manager and maintenance guys are friendly and helpful. If I need help or concern they address it and fix/solve it.

I scheduled a showing for an apartment I saw listed online. Within the ad, it was stated you could not apply without viewing the apartment first. So I scheduled a showing (filled out the app prior to walking in so that I was ready to hit submit when walking out).. after seeing it in person and falling in love with the home, I spoke with the person showing me the apartment as I wanted to rent it on the spot.. to which they advised to apply online and that no one would be reviewing applications for 6 more days (property manager was out of town). Feeling like there wasnt any hope with having to wait that long, and could only imagine the stack of applications they would have .. I almost didnt bother applying. But the person showing the place told me this was their very first showing of the place so knowing it was first come first serve I hit apply on my application. I expressed my situation and how urgent it was to move the application process along as I wanted to be moving in the next day but they insisted it wasnt anyway possible to have applications reviewed before Monday. I went to the office Monday right when they opened just to be advised that the owner went ahead and approved another persons application and it was rented. So much for first come first serve. Not to mention no one answers the phone and when I did get an answer, the p.m did not want to look into my inquiry about whos application came first. She asked me if anyone else was there at the showing instead of looking into the time stamps of applications. Then after all of this, offer me more expensive apartments that arent available for months in hopes to get me to remove this review. Talk about false advertisement and the only way you can get a response is if your writing them bad reviews.

My error, it is wedge 23 that I had the issue with. Therefore, Ill give you 5 stars in being so diligent and responding quickly. I apologize. I posted before but somehow it has been deleted. I paid money to hold a property and then decided it was not going to work for me within 5 days. I requested a refund and was denied. I was not going to move in for 6-8 weeks. I did not sign lease. I had to take them to small claims court and have a judge order them to refund my money.

I've rented from southwedge for 4 years and love them! They give gift cards to wegmans for early lease renewal! Who doesn't need groceries haha...also have quick response to maintenance requests. I hope to continue with them for many years.
