Well, this review is as far from a brisket review as it can get! Back on my Grandad's farm, work could be extremely difficult. I recall that upon lifting something quite heavy, one of my Uncles or Grandad himself would warn me stating, "Easy Billy, don't bust a gut!" Fast forward 60 years and I went and "busted my gut." I had lifted two generators at roughly 140 lbs each into the truck bed. So, due to having not just one but FOUR tears it was high time for repair. The staff at Desert Surgical were kind, courteous, and friendly but professional. My hat is off to Dr. Rick A. Low as I have had no after-surgery complications and very mild pain, not needing to take any pain meds at all! A sincere THANK YOU to Dr. Low and the staff!

Had a pretty poor experience with Dr Durrani. Got charged 150 for a 20 minute new patient appointment which would be fine but the appointment didnt even last 5 minutes. He was in and out like a flash spending almost no time trying to get to the bottom of what was going on. Ended up having a CT scan with confusing results which turned out to be due to the offices poor order instructions to the radiologist, then after getting the results was just told to go to a GI doc since they didnt know what was the problem. my PCP later said was ridiculous to suggest the GI doc and ultimately it turned out to be Diastesis Recti which should have been diagnosed by him.

Don't know about the other doctors here, but I would not recommend Dr. Hanshaw!! My son had a pilonidal cyst, and had Dr. Hanshaw remove the cyst. We had all the confidence in the world in Dr. Hanshaw, prior to the surgery. He texted when the surgery was done, and didn't give proper instruction for the care of the incision. We had 4 post surgery appointments with Hanshaw and he never noticed that the bottom part of the incision was not healing, had gotten infected and now had another cyst. (The 4 post surgery appointments covered a span of two months.) Never once looked at the entire incision!! We had to redo the surgery, but used a different doctor that was amazing, informative and actually helped my son. Maybe Dr. Hanshaw is good at other surgeries, but I would not recommend him for a pilonidal cyst, or any other surgery. We had our son visit a few different doctors when we were looking to redo the surgery, and they all said they couldn't believe that Dr. Hanshaw had given our son an "all clear" diagnosis, as he should have noticed the incision wasn't healing.

I went to Dr. Low after two trips to the E.D. He was cold and condescending. I have chronic pain (autoimmune) for over 8 years with no professional pain management. I've gained weight due to limited mobility. I found out in the E.D. I have a sizeable hernia causing me extreme pain. Dr. Low told me he was unwilling to help because of high risk of failure due to weight. 60% fail /40% success. He didn't give me the option.Told me to lose 70lbs then come back. Part of this conversation was had on the way to the front desk where the packed waiting room could hear what he was saying. I've never been so humiliated. I walked out to everyone staring. Trying to hold back the tears till I got to my car. My daughter is a nurse. I told her and several other healthcare workers what happened. And all of them have said they have never heard of that. Only in very rare cases. I still have no answers and continue to be in excruciating pain. The experience is still surreal. I thought the word Doctor was synonymous with compassion.
